Not sure I'm there, but maybe.Posted in Techno-Blog on December 30, 2011 by Dan Tapley Merry ChristmasPosted in Techno-Blog on December 17, 2011 by Dan Tapley As an adult Christmas isn't always as special as it could be. Usually that's if you are single. When Brenda and I started celebrating Christmas together, the magical kid-like quality of Christmas returns somewhat. What makes it return all the way is having kids. Chase is proof of that. I can "get away" with watching all my favourite Christmas shows. We get to go see Santa. We start are own traditions as a family. Christmas Magic is back. Happy ThanksgivingPosted in Techno-Blog on October 10, 2011 by Dan Tapley It's Thanksgiving 2011. As each year passes, I can't help but reflect on my station in life. I'm thankful for so many things. * I'm alive There's just a few of the items. This post would be to large to list everything. Take the time today to ask, "What are you thankful for?" OopsPosted in Techno-Blog on October 02, 2011 by Dan Tapley Its been too long since I posted here. I guess that's because things have been going well. Work is awesome. I had minor surgery in August and I'm feeling pretty much recovered so I have nothing much to offer right now. I'll try harder to post more often. Double CenturyPosted in Techno-Blog on August 03, 2011 by Dan Tapley I've been reading "The Man Who Cycled the World" by Mark Beaumont: http://www.markbeaumontonline.com/. It has me thinking big. Yes I've done a lot of cycling, but I've never gone bigger than the two day double metric of the Ride to Conquer Cancer. Due to scheduling and other things going on this year I won't be able to train to do it this year, but next year I want to aim do a two day double century. That's 100 miles a day for two days for a total of 200 miles or 328 km. |
